The library works in an integrated computer library system. The system itself is a package of programmes. It enables to automate many library processes such as, collecting books, developing different library materials, searching and making the collections accessible (lending, reserving and ordering).

The catalogue was created on 1^st October 2001. At first it was only made accessible in the lending library in a SOWA-WIN module, which enabled simple and complex searching. Since February 2003 the catalogue has been available on the Internet. The first version enabled only simple searching. In January 2005 an additional catalogue, which enables simple and complex searching, was added. On 20^th February 2006 the old catalogue was replaced with a new version. On 12^th December 2007 the next updating of the whole SOWA library computer system took place. As a result a new, more advanced system was introduced. In September 2008 a new option was introduced: book descriptions have a scan of their covers attached.
The catalogue contains bibliographic descriptions of compact prints (books) and special collections (standards). On 1^st October 2008 the magazine catalogue was made available on the internet. It contains the descriptions of the subscribed magazines.
